Sunshine Shutter has been a family owned shutter manufacturing company, serving Sarasota and surrounding counties since 2005. We supply window treatment shops in Florida as well as direct customers.

Andrew Sr. has a Mechanical Engineering degree and his wife Sandra has a Materials Science Engineering degree both from Michigan Technological University. Andrew’s background began with window manufacturing serving as Plant Manager for one of the largest window manufacturers in Venice Florida. Sandra’s background includes both automotive and medical device research, development and manufacturing.

Since purchasing Sunshine Shutter in 2018, Andrew has become an expert in manufacturing polyresin plantation shutters and has tripled the growth of Sunshine Shutter. In 2020 Sunshine Shutter expanded it’s product offerings to include window shades and blinds by becoming an authorized dealer of Universal Window Coverings. In 2023, Sunshine Shutter acquired Millennium Shutters (founded in 1998), the leading experts in manufacturing wood plantation shutters in Sarasota Florida. Andrew combined operations for both polyresin and wood shutters into one large 5000 sq foot facility in 2024.
